DEADLINES AND REQUIREMENTS FOR THE APPEARANCE OF DEGREE DEFENSES IN THE MONTH OF JULY 2026
To present a diploma defense in July 2026. You must comply with the following deadlines:
1. Submission of an online application for diploma defense - February 09, 2026 - February 22, 2026
2. The deadline for receiving feedback on the final allocation of scientific supervisors (in a table uploaded to the site) is February 27, 2026
Important! Academic supervisors are NOT subject to change.
3. Contacting the academic supervisor assigned to each graduate student, specifying the topic with them, and submitting an application to the Academic Department (e-mail: diplomiraneBA@uzf.bg) with the final formulation of the topic - March 16, 2026
Below you will find the forms to use. You must choose the correct form depending on the department to which your major is assigned. In the same section, a list of specialties by department is also uploaded.
4. Submission of the first working version of the thesis (sent only to the supervisor) - by May 22, 2026.
Important! Theses submitted after this deadline will not be accepted. The student will be able to appear on the next possible date for the diploma defense.
5. Until June 22, 2026, final transmission of:
- the final version of the thesis in electronic and paper versions, bound with a spiral;
- approval from a supervisor that your work is ready for submission;
- a complete plagiarism check report sent to you by your supervisor (on this page at the bottom, you will see the file);
- Application to the rector for admission to the diploma defense - (on this page at the bottom, you will see the file)
- Administrative fee paid in the amount of 240 EUR.
Receive reviews - until July 10, 2026.
Diploma defense - July 15, 2026
Requests and developments are submitted to the email: diplomiraneBA@uzf.bg
Important:
If you are unable to attend on the scheduled date in July, you will be required to resubmit your application. This means you do not need to complete a new supervisor application, as you have already been assigned one. Instead, you should notify the Academic Affairs Office by submitting a request addressed to the Rector, and you will be able to attend the session in October 2026.
