About the journal
The Yearbook of the University of Insurance and Finance is an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal published by the University of Insurance and Finance (UZF).
The journal provides a scholarly platform for research at the intersection of economics, finance, insurance, management, entrepreneurship, and all similar business studies, encouraging dialogue between disciplines and between theoretical research and professional practice.
The Yearbook publishes original research by scholars and researchers from Bulgaria and abroad and welcomes contributions addressing contemporary economic, managerial, legal and societal challenges.
The journal is published in Bulgarian and English, in electronic format and open access. The journal does not charge submission, processing or publication fees.
Aims and Scope
The Yearbook aims to promote scholarly research and academic dialogue in the fields of economics, finance, insurance, management, entrepreneurship and related social sciences, bringing together theoretical, empirical and applied perspectives.
The journal welcomes original research in areas including:
- economic theory, microeconomics and macroeconomics;
- finance, financial markets, banking and investment;
- insurance, risk management and social security;
- international trade, international economics, regional economics and competitiveness;
- entrepreneurship, innovation and business development;
- management, marketing and organisational studies;
- corporate governance, business ethics and sustainable business;
- public administration, public policy and economic policy;
- social and economic dimensions of contemporary societal challenges;
- interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research connecting economics, finance, management, business and related social sciences.
The journal particularly welcomes contributions that combine theoretical approaches with empirical or applied research, address contemporary economic and societal challenges, and contribute to the understanding of developments affecting business, institutions and society.
Languages
AFJ publishes manuscripts in Bulgarian and English.
For articles published in Bulgarian, the journal requires an English-language title, abstract and keywords in accordance with the Article Template.

The Yearbook of the University of Insurance and Finance is developing its indexing and abstracting profile in accordance with established academic standards and the requirements of relevant indexing services.
Applications for inclusion in relevant indexing and abstracting services will be pursued as the journal develops the required publication history and meets the applicable editorial and technical criteria.
