About the journal
Journal of Insurance and Finance (JIF) is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal published by the University of Insurance and Finance (UZF). The journal provides a scholarly platform for original theoretical, methodological and applied research in insurance, finance and business economics.
JIF aims to contribute to the advancement of financial and economic research by bringing together academic researchers, university faculty, doctoral researchers and qualified practitioners from Bulgaria and abroad. The journal encourages research that combines rigorous theoretical approaches with empirical evidence, practical relevance and contemporary perspectives on developments in financial and economic systems.
The journal is published in English, in electronic format and open access, and appears twice a year. Each published article is assigned a DOI. The journal does not charge submission, processing or publication fees.
Aims and Scope
The journal welcomes original research addressing current theoretical and practical issues in the fields of insurance, finance and business economics.

The journal is developing its international indexing and abstracting profile in accordance with the standards and requirements of established academic databases and indexing services.
Applications for inclusion in relevant indexing and abstracting services will be made as the journal fulfils the respective technical, editorial and publication-history requirements.
